Tour de Rocks 2023

The Hon. AILEEN MacDONALD (10:05:56):

I move:

(1)That this House notes that:

(a)the Tour de Rocks event celebrated its tenth event over the period 20 to 22 April 2023;

(b)over 345 riders and 110 supporters participated in the three-day event;

(c)the event raised in excess of $200,000 for cancer sufferers and for research and development into finding a cure for cancer; and

(d)many organisations and individuals took part in the Tour de Rocks, including the Guyra Bike Club.

(2)That this House acknowledges that the Tour de Rocks was initiated by The Armidale School student, Jonathan Wheeler, in 2010 as part of his participation in the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

(3)That this House congratulates the Tour de Rocks on its tremendous and continuing fundraising and support towards a cure for cancer.
